114（2）AEP II 学術英語科目Ⅱ ・ Your English ability will be evaluated when you enter the department and at the end of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd academic years. Based on the results, you will be told which AEP II classes to take. 28 credits are required.・ Tutorial 1A/B and Tutorial 2A/B are paired courses with Critical Inquiry & Writing A/B and Rhetoric & Research Writing A/B, respectively, and must be taken concurrently with those courses. Capstone Project in Academic English A/B will be taken concurrently with Tutorial 3A/B unless exemptions are granted for these courses. ・ All students must take at least one semester of one of the following AEP II courses: Presentation & Seminar Skills 1A, Presentation & Seminar Skills 1B, Presentation & Seminar Skills 2A, Presentation & Seminar Skills 2B, Capstone Project in Academic English A/Tutorial 3A, Capstone Project in Academic English B/Tutorial 3B. ・ Students who show exceptional ability in English communication based on recent TOEFL scores and excellent results in a recently completed AEP II course may be considered for exemptions to some AEP II courses. ・ Minimum TOEFL scores for exemptions for each year are noted in the below table. The TOEFL scores used for assessment will be those of the student’s entry test TOEFL score, or from the previous academic year’s year-end TOEFL score, whichever is the most recent available score.After meeting the above criteria, decisions on exemptions will be made by the student’s recent AEP II course teacher and the AEP Coordinator.・ Students may get credit for “Communication in the 21st Century” and “Communication in the 21st Century – Discussion Section” more than once as long as the classes are offered by different professors.・ 本学科の学生は、各自の英語力を入学時と1年次、2年次、3年次の終了時に判定される。その結果に基づき、学術英語科目Ⅱのうち、どの科目を修得するかを、学術英語担当教員から指示される。その指示に従って、必要とされる科目を修得しなければならない。学術英語科目Ⅱの中で指示される科目は、最大で28単位である。・ Tutorial 1A/B とCritical Inquiry & Writing A/B, Tutorial 2A/B とRhetoric & Research Writing A/Bはそれぞれ対になっているコースなので、同時に履修しなければならない。また、Capstone Project in Academic English A/BとTutorial 3A/Bは、これらの科目が免除される場合を除き、同時に履修しなければならない。・ これらの科目は1年次から4年次に亘り履修することになるので、注意すること。・ すべての学生は、下記の学術英語科目IIの科目を、少なくとも１学期履修しなければならない。それらの科目は、Presentation & Seminar Skills 1A, Presentation & Seminar Skills 1B, Presentation & Seminar Skills 2A, Presentation & Seminar Skills 2B, Capstone Project in Academic English A/Tutorial 3A, Capstone Project in Academic English B/Tutorial 3Bである。・ 最新のTOEFLのスコアおよび直近で履修した学術英語科目Ⅱで、非常に優れた英語コミュニケーション能力を示した学生は、幾つかの学術英語科目IIの履修免除を考慮される。・ 履修免除を考慮されるTOEFLスコアの最低基準は、下記の表のとおりである。履修免除の評価のために使うTOEFLスコアは、学生の入学時のスコアまたは履修免除になる前年度末のTOEFLスコアの、どちらか最新のスコアである。Minimum TOEFL Scores for ExemptionsYear of AEP II CoursesScore5505655801st-year2nd-year3rd-year
